From an article on
about.com "Agnosticism is not about belief in god but about knowledge — it was coined originally to describe the position of a person who could not claim to know for sure if any gods exist or not. "
I guess if you want to be technical about it you could say I’m an agnostic atheist. One can also be an agnostic theist. I don’t really like to get tied down with terminology though. A summary of my view is this: I do not accept the claim that God exists. I do not deny the possibility, but I think it is extremely unlikely.
One reason I come on religious forums is to learn. Another is to try to show that atheists don’t usually fit some stereotypes some people hold against us and that we are not to be feared. I am not a depressed person who feels life is a meaningless exercise; in fact I am quite the opposite. I try to my best to be a good person and to enjoy life.
