Scottish Tory justice spokesman John Lamont in 'sectarian' school attack

The Scottish Tory justice spokesman has accused the west of Scotland school system of overseeing ‘state-sponsored conditioning of sectarian attitudes.’

Minister Roseanna Cunningham said the remarks were ‘astonishing.’

John Lamont’s comments came as MSPs debated emergency laws to increase jail terms for sectarian-related behaviour connected to football. He said sending children to Catholic and non-denominational schools contributed to the problem.

I feel that this person has just inflamed the situation .There is no evidence to support his claims and his comments are an attack on Scottish Catholics.I did email the tory party and make a complaint because its time to stand up to these people and tell them exactly what they are…it was really dissappointing to hear his comments especially considering his position as justice spokesman,.I believe that we should demand justice in Scotand for all denominations,but the Scottish Catholic position is still one where we are more likely than any other denomination to suffer verbal or physical attack.However, the positives are that very many people were astonished and denounced this guys comments.Hopefully things will get better…I pray that they do.
