NOTHING strengthens my faith more than when I see the ignorance of one trying to undermine it. You DO NOT know the meaning of the word doctrine if you call Rosary beads a doctrine of our faith. **HOLY WATER. **You Say that we invented that in WHAT?? Year 1009 A.D.?? Why don’t you look in your Bible and go to Numbers Chapter 5 verse 17. WHAT??? HOLY WATER???This one is a joke. So many Catholic doctrines have been changed. The latest one was Limbo. How many changes do you need???
You forget in your list the things that YOU believe that came from the Church.
The canon of the New Testament.
The inspiration of Scripture.
The deifinition of the Holy Trinity in contrast with the many heresies of the first centuries. (Term Trinity not found in Scripture)
The hypostatic union of the nature of Christ.
The deity of Christ. (Ask any Jehovah’s Witnness if this is explicit in Scripture) They follow sola scriptura.
The term bible. ( Not found in Scripture)
The term Incarnation (Not found in Scripture)
Now some Protestant made up doctrines not found in scripture:
Once saved always saved.
Sinners prayer. Billy Graham not Catholic. More Ignorance…
Altar call.
Accept Christ as my **personal **Lord and savior.
Bible Only.
Jesus and me only, no religion just Jesus (Totally unscriptural)
Guaranteed salvation. (Cannot choose to reject Christ)
Thank you for once again proving and emphasizing the importance of my Catholic faith.
Oh and another portrayal of ignorance of Catholic theology on your part: Limbo was always held as a theological opinion. It was never accepted as doctrine. It is perfectly acceptable to change opinion but not doctrine.
I could go through your bogus list with individual responses but why shame you further. You need a lot of education regarding Catholicism before you continue to embarrass yourself.
