My family is still looking for a parish in Seattle that is not openly thumbing its nose at Rome. The one we just visited in West Seattle is not it.
They are too proud to kneel at any time during the service. The pastor loves to rewrite the scriptures and liturgy. He is really quite “creative.” For example: “Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ.” Or, try in the creed: “He was born of the Virgin Mary and became flesh.” I guess he doesn’t want to use the words Him or man here in liberal land. Perhaps it might be considered hate speech.
I’d like to know how desecrating the traditions of Christ’s Church is supposed to increase our respect for women. This just looks to me like one of many tactics to attempt to say that the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church have been wrong about so very many things for so long and it is time they became, well, more “Progressive.”
I’d like to know why certain women feel more respected by the pornographic, contraceptive, baby butchering agenda of the radical left.
