Loving God,

We lift up the intentions of all on this forum for our friend and excellent prayer warrior Jim who has shown so much love and prayed so hard for your people in his life. Lord, we do not understand why you present the opportunities to us for suffering, although we know that you will often bend us, but never break us, as you test and prepare us to carry out our role in your divine plan. Please send your comforting and warm Holy Spirit to be with our brother and grant him and his family courage, strength, strong faith, and hope in You. Please send great wisdom and a caring attitude to all the doctors and medical staff who assist Jim and please heal our brother in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Dear Lord, we accept your will and know you want the best for us, please help our brother with the gift of discernment to hear and understand your call to him and your plan for his life. We hope and pray that a great measure of Jim’s love and caring prayers for your people will be returned to him and contribute to his peace and well being in this life and the next.

Dear Lord, we also lift up a special intention for Jim’s wife Elsa, that she may be courageous, maintain a strong faith and hope in You, and that you would relieve her of stress and anxiety as she places her trust in You during this most challenging time for their family.

Please hear and grant the prayers of your persistent people for our brother Jim and his wife, Elsa.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your chosen people, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Dear Lord, as we continue to pray for Jim, please continue to nourish his faith and peace. Please help him and his family to cope with this continued threat against his health and with the treatment that he again faces. Please surround Jim and his family with Your light and love

Continuing thanks to my brothers and sisters who support me with prayer! The retreat was a wonderful experience, with lots of opportunity for prayer and reflection. Father also held a healing service and laid hands on all who presented themselves. There was overnight adoration and we all spent a lot of time before our Lord.

Yesterday, I had round one of the experimental drug. The side effects are much less than standard chemo, but are different as well, so I need to acclimate myself to a new set of effects. God is good, for which I am thankful each day. I take not one breath without his grace. All praise be to God in the highest, and many thanks to all of you, my true brothers and sisters in Christ. Amen! Alleluia!
