Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

As I sit here, reflecting on the blessing that is this day, I want to let all of you know that I also pray for you. It is through your faithfulness to prayer that I am here to respond. May the Lord richly reward each of you with treasure in Heaven, which cannot be taken away. Amen!

Loving God,

We lift up in prayer our intentions for the healing of our friend Jim in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Lord, you have placed many challenges, trials, and much suffering in the path of our friend, and he has constantly demonstrated his trust in You. Please bless our friend and his family, and help them to endure this latest development with grace, patience, and courage and remove all worry and anxiety from their hearts. Please grant the persistent prayers of your loving people on behalf of Jim and his wife Elsa. Please also send the right solution to his situation into his life along with excellent and compassionate medical care and counseling. Lord, we lift up the following passage from Holy Scripture for our friend:

Philippians 4:4-7

Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice!
Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near.
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.
Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will
guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Amen.

At the cancer center today, I had the opportunity to visit with both the nurse who attended to me during my chemotherapy, as well as my current clinical trial nurse. It occurs to me that I have been blessed by each of you, who has sacrificed irreplaceable moments of life on my behalf. The Lord, in His goodness, continues to take note of this, and will certainly reward each of you in eternity. I ask him to bless each of you, for it is through the love of distant brothers and sisters that I am still present to each of you. I am grateful to God, and I am grateful to each of you. May God bless your richly! Amen!

Makes perfect sense, but actually it’s a user name from a different site years ago. I just stuck with it.

Thank you and may Christ’s peace be with you.
