I have come to ask all of you what is your opinion on secularism and/ or multiculturalism? Is it good ? Bad? A necessity or something we can do away with?

Hello do you see secularism as against God? That would be my defination.

I will agree you probably would say as against Allah, am I right?

I say this because I think there is probably some areas of agreeance, for example gay marriage. I understand Muslims do not agree with it.

Maybe we can start with what we all agree is of a secular nature?? Start with this, what do you think ?

As for multicultrualism it is like has been said just a fact we all have to learn to deal with one another, so might as well start. 🙂
 
Multiculturalism is good for society I believe, and so is secularism. It prevents hatred in a way.

What is your perspective about being a minority in your country? I admire the Christians that hold fast to their faith under extreme prejudice! Wow!
 
Kitty, Muslims also do not believe in birth control. There is good in every faith… But, Shadowcry is Catholic. I think it takes alot more courage to be christian in a country in that part of the world.

Extreme prejudice I have never been persecuted in my life for my religion quite fortunate. Plus none of the christians I know have been persecuted either for religion.
 
I see that Blest one and Im sorry Shadow Cry. The previous posts assumed a label on you that I followed and should not have. Especially since I hate labels :o

So yes Shadow Cry I agree about multiculturlism and I think I understand your point about secularism, can you say more about that?

(by the way Im not catholic for the record, If I were to claim a church it would be baptist I guess. )
