A man stopped in front of the praying nun, praying by herself in church.

“She can’t help you. I’m going to kill you.” The video shows the nun running away.

This is not even so outrageously shocking, given the nature of some people in the world and our own society these days. It is NOT typical of New York, however, but it is disgusting. I hope they apprehended this lunatic.

Gosh! 😦

Praying for the nun and the man, that he may repent.

I’m glad the nun got away.

This man sounds like your typical person with mental health issues wandering the streets. Nevertheless it would be good to see the hate crime statute used to protect Catholics once in a while.

Praying in thanks for this Nun’s safety. Praying for this man to be apprehended & to obtain the help he needs.

As someone who seriously looked into becoming a nun, (I have a medical disability, which is why I am not one now), I don’t think it’s going to far to speak on behalf of this nun and ask that you love and pray for this man. It’s sweet that you are defending the nun, but she knows The Lord, and I feel certain, while she feels upset and scared by the interaction, she’d want this man to know The Lord too. It’s obvious he is suffering.

yes this man definitely needs prayers too.

the nun definitely felt threatened and I am glad her instincts told her to get away from him and she acted or the situation might have ended badly.

I am happy to pray for him, I actually pray (quietly and to myself to avoid upsetting anyone) for a lot of abusers and criminals. However, I will also pray that he is quickly apprehended so he does not hurt anyone else or even himself, and so that nuns and others can feel safe praying in the Cathedral.
