Hi all -
I grew up in a very humanist household. Yet, somehow a friend or relative gave me or my older brother a wonderfully illustrated book of Bible stories for children. Because I was craving God and Jesus, I poured over that book for many hours over many years of my childhood. I have the drawings memorized, and remember most of the stories.
My parents were divorced when I was 12 and my whole family went our separate ways and set up new households. Clothes and books from childhood were given away to Goodwill and to library fundraiser sales. I lost track of my book of Bible stories.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to go about finding another copy? I have hardly any information to go on. I would absolutely recognize the book if I saw the inside, but I don’t remember the name, the publisher, the year it might have been published, or even what the cover looked like. Here is all I know; It had both Old and New Testament stories, was hardcover, about the size of a Land’s End catalog, and probably was published in the 1950’s or very early 1960’s.
Any suggestions or ideas would be most welcome.
Thanks all! Oh - please learn my my mistake: *** Keep ***your children’s Bible story books!
