Seeking official Church documents that speak of infinite love

I am debating with someone who claims that love ends, as death comes upon it.

Part of the problem here is contained within the statement itself…
The “it” at the end refers back to the subject “love” so - if love dies (death comes upon it) then of course it ends…

So - can death come upon love??? Can Love die???
If there are many people of many ages who love, then when one of them dies - love itself continues in the others who have not died…children are born and taught to love…and so love continues…
Therefore - even if one is speaking solely of “human love” in the natural earthly human setting and in all of it’s variations (from brotherly love to romantic love)…It seems pretty obvious that love cannot die…Death cannot come for it unless and until all humans die…

and that doesn’t even get into the theological issues…🤷

I just don’t see the sense in the statement to begin with…

How are they defining love?
 
How about these…
1 Cor 13:7-8
8 Love never ends; as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For our knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect; 10 but when the perfect comes, the imperfect will pass away.

Here love is described as something perfect for “Love never ends”…yet all that imperfect will pass away.
1John 4:7-8
7 Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God, and he who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God; for God is love.

Can God die?
If God is Love and God cannot die…then Love cannot die…

The catechism has sections on both love as well as charity. Too numerous to list here. I wonder if OP is debating an atheist?
 
I think this depends on whom you are talking to.If the person is a Christian, you have a very old document to referet to, namely the Holy Bible. Love cannot die because the love that lives within us is in fact Christ Himself, and Christ cannot die!

If you are debating with an Atheist, then ask what this person even means by “love”.
