Selfies

CNN has posted wonderful selfies of the Pope after one man begs for a picture. Soon he posed with several others. Now I know some would find this undignified, but I find it truly Christ like. to be walking among the followers of the Church he leads for Christ.

Is it more dangerous, yes, but his role is not to think of his safety first but rather to serve and interact with those around him. I feel so truly blessed to have be alive and raising my children under Pope Francis.

for the most part I think selfies are vain and prideful, esp when posted all over social media for all the world to see and admire. for the Pope it’s OK because he is giving joy and sharing himself with someone/others. In the Pope’s case it is a humble act. Just my own thoughts.

I’d say depends on what your taking a picture of yourself with.

If I had a picture of me and the pope that would be cool.

There are always at least 3 people in a selfie: I, Myself, and Me. They’re a plague upon society, as if the cell phones that enable them and which intrude on every aspect of life aren’t bad enough. But what a perfect symbol of life today.
