Senate Committee OKs “Pro-Life” Catholic Douglas Kmiec as Malta Ambassador

Washington, DC – The Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday approved the nomination of a pro-Obama political activists who has caused headaches for the pro-life Catholic community. President Barack Obama named Douglas Kmiec, a Pepperdine University law professor as ambassador to Malta.

Once again, Pres. Obama gets to stick his finger into the eye of the Catholic Church. I have absolutely no respect for Douglas Kmiec. He is a complete and utter sellout to the Catholic Church. I don’t know what his agenda is, but it is not promoting the truth of the Gospel, and Obama knows it. Douglas Kmiec has the audacity to call himself pro-life and actually defend the most anti-life President we have ever had. Kmiec is a disgrace.

Has anyone else noticed that Obama loves to put Catholics in high positions in his government, but it’s never devout, believing Catholics, it’s always the renegades. This is not an accident or coincidence. I truly believe that Obama is at war with the Catholic Church.

But let it be known, I pray for him and his administration every day that they will repent.

Mary

I am actually not unhappy with this appointment. Doug Kmiec was trying to get a high profile appointment in the Obama administration; he was even lobbying for ambassador to the Vatican. Ambassador to Malta isn’t high profile and gets him out of the USA. :clapping::clapping::clapping:

Seriously, when was the last time the ambassador to Malta, arguably the most Catholic country in the world other than Vatican City, had any effect on the US political or foreign policy scene? And because of the “delicate nature of foreign relations” we shouldn’t hear him publically spewing his twisted version of Catholic teaching.
