I have greatly reduced the sending out Easter cards to relatives these last 5 years due to the fact that:
I have talked to my grandfather occasionally about my Faith … and he’s very nice about it. He would never tell me he was offended by these cards. When he sends cards they are decidedly secular with no religious themes at all. There is nothing in his speech or manner to indicate he has any interest in the Faith.
Question: should I keep sending him religious cards, or should I stop and send him only secular greeting cards? I have heard from some non-believers that they are offended when someone sends them something Christian in theme.
- they are not practicing any faith and
- I have come to believe that they resent receiving any cards from me at all. .
