In addition to what everybody else has posted, I’d suggest finding a good support group for people who are divorced. Chances are there are other women there who have been through what you’re going through, and the men in the group probably won’t be looking for a new romance.

Good luck! You’re in my prayers.

So I have now found out over the past couple days that my h is a child molester. He molested his xwife’s oldest child. that is what we know of. she is now an adult. I have some real feelings about this and the fact he ever touched me and how clean I am ever going to feel again. Counseling here I come. And I think that sex drive I talked about was pretty fleeting.

I had other words - said them all - went to Confession - feel better. Thank you all for being here. This has been a nightmare - but atleast I know what not to do for next time and at least I know if none of this has shaken my faith in God, Christ, Mary, and the Saints, nothing will.

Are you kidding me - I just got PM’d on here - and it probably was not the smartest thing because I did not save the message by a man telling me first about low carb diet and epilepsy and then telling me that moving back to NH might be premature because from what I have written here he has an attraction to me - although he realizes that is premature. He is Eastern Catholic. What the-----? Ughhh.

my husband’s ex wife is coming down on Tuesday to help me pack and get around as she is basically unemployed, has no car because he would not sign her car over to her and she has been relying on the charity of others. She only ever had baptism and her first Eucharist is a big question mark since the divorce she has been a practicing Buddhist. I really can’t say I blame her as her example of Catholicism was my husband and his family.

Well, I did look in all fairness as I did not want to put any pressure on her to see if there were services for her in our area and she stopped me and asked if I would be OK if she came to Mass with me. Then she asked what kind of clothes she would need.I explained we aren’t picky down here as long as they are modest as I know she is trying to travel in carry-ons and wear mine and we are in the Keys.

It is amazing how God uses these situations. I just wanted to share this with everyone as as a silver lining and ask everyone to pray for her. Her name is Penny.

That is sweet of her to come and help you pack and stuff. That is great that she wants to go to Church with you. I will pray for both of you, survivors of this “man.”

Oh and ignore the “spam.” Some people are just ridiculous.

How wonderful that in the middle of all this craziness, you’re able to minister to your ex’s ex! God is indeed good! You keep going, girl. 👍 You and Penny both have my prayers.

Thank you Della and to everyone in the CAF community who has been there for me.

I wonder if you intuited his disgusting behavior and that why you had no desire for him.
Good call on your part! I’m sorry you’re going thru this.

I don’t think I guessed that - I think much of it had to with how he was treating me - I think what made me wonder about his behavior was when I first talked to his ex and she mentioned that both her children hated him and had “issues” after he left. I knew when I spoke to her daughter who is 20 and the first things she told me were that he was a manipulator, a witch, and a molestor. She is now making a decision as to whether or not she is brave enough to file charges so I cannot discuss a lot of specifics with her but I know from what she has told me that she is telling me the truth because there are things she wouldn’t know otherwise.

Joan: I’m really sorry for your struggles and I will pray for you. Chastity is a struggle at times; even in a good, Catholic marriage. Mass, Communion, frequent Confession and time before the Eucharist is helpful. I also would encourage reading a lot of Holy Scripture and religious books. I am certain you’ve heard this all before, bu my own thought is that it’s easier to remain pure if I’m putting pure things into my head. Know what I mean? Good luck!
