Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of Mary’s Nativity (although we do not know the actual date). Today’s Feast is celebrated 9 months after the Feast of her Immaculate Conception. In a similar manner the Feast of Jesus’ Nativity (Dec. 25) is celebrated 9 months after His Incarnation/Conception in Mary’s womb (Mar. 25).
In the Liturgy of the Hours Morning prayer, the antiphon before the Benedictus is:

It is such a joy to think of God’s creation of Mary our Mother. The Hymn for today expresses it well:Your birth, O Virgin Mother of God, announced joy to the whole world, for from you has risen the Sun of justice, Christ our God. He released us from the ancient curse and made us blessed; he destroyed death and gave us eternal life.

Mary the Mother, Christ the Mother’s Son.
Both ever blest while endless ages run.
