I hear ya; I’m going on record right now predicting they will start ordaining meercats in the TEC soon

‘Seusscharist’ belongs in the bin, along with Clown Masses, Gymnastics Masses, Frank Sinatra/Woody Guthrie/Balloon Masses, Soccer Masses, and cassock-albs (especially cassock-albs:mad:).

LOL…I love it when Dean Martin and Sammy Davis were in “The Cannonball Run” back in 1980 and they were dressed as priests driving that red Ferrari. Hilarious. They drive up next to Dom Deluise and Burt Reynolds trying to get them to pull over so Sammy can let the air out of their tires while Martin distracts the two with a Catholic blessing. Martin opens their ambulance and sees Farrah Faucett and says, “wow, now I’ve just gotta bless HER!” to which Reynolds says, “nah, nah Father, you don’t need to bless her; she’s a Zen Buddhist.” Martin doesn’t miss a beat and says, “Oh shoot we specialize in blessing Zen Buddhists!”😛

First of all, we are called Episcopalians, not Episcopals.

The seusscharist or its hipster cousin the U2charist are examples a greater degree of insanity than the clown mass celebrated by Cardinal Schonborn. I do agree that Episcopalians can be a bit nutty, but we all haven’t lost our minds.

I can’t wait for the Zoocharist or the blues-charist, or better still, the moo-charist. Can’t you just imagine a cow-hide chasuble?

I truly hope I am not endowed with the gifts of prophecy.

Oh heck, you know the TEC is just begging to get beaten up. With all the lawsuits and damage they do, I don’t feel a bit guilty 😛

This is not a “liturgical abuse,” because it is not a liturgy, and certainly not a Mass. This is the product of Protestantism, which has been divorced from the Truth for 550 years now. This is what happens when you turn your back on God, unfortunately.

I second what the other poster said: Forgive them Father, for they know now what they do.

But I add that they’d better get it right before death, because the Just Judge will not be laughing at their mocking of Him.
 
I wonder what Mr. Theo Geisel, author of the Dr. Seuss books, would think about this? Somehow I have a feeling he’d probably be rolling in his grave! :mad:
 
This generalization, which is common in here, is not necessarily valid in that Catholicism has instances of liturgical abuse, too. There has been liturgical dance and once at the coast at Morro Bay I went to a Mass that was so full of abuse, it’d knock your socks off. The priest turned the Mass into a circus freak-show that I’ve never seen anything like it since. The most bizarre Youtube stuff doesn’t compete. And yet it was a Catholic parish, theoretically part of the Truth you speak of, not broken 550 years ago but nice and bastardized for all to see. There is abuse of the Mass in the CC and there is theological nonsense being taught in seminaries and parish churches as well. Being part of Catholicism doesn’t guarantee perfect obedience at a parish level. This “Seuss” garbage was not at a national level but local, correct?
