My being faithful to the Magisterium is the same as being faithful to Jesus, and the Bible.
Please don’t change the subject or go off on a tangent. I do not do that when answering questions that I am asked. Thank you.

The “subject” has been changed many many times in this thread. Do you actually know what the subject of this thread is?

I was here at the beginning and I recall it being a general discussion on SDA beliefs.
Do you folks celebrate the American tradition of Thanksgiving? Or is it considered another pagan holiday started by the boogey man?

I am not talking about the subject of this thread, and I do know what it is… The subject I am refering to is the allegations you have made about the Catholic Church. I have asked you for proof and so far I have gotten none. I must confess that I have to agree with tqualey that you do have a tendency to evade and/or change whatever we are discussing. Whatever you ask of us, we do immediately to the best of our knowledge. I would like to say the same for you, but so far I can’t. Once again, please answer my questions. Thank you.

You believe in the Boogie Man too? LOL, you made me chuckle the way you said that!

Inspite of all the dead birds that are eaten on Thanksgiving; it is always a special day for myself and my family. We do indeed celebrate it! But the USA has theirs on a different date than Canadians.

protestant101;

Do I, or don’t I get my questions answered?

He is saying that we must believe what He is saying (His WORDS). It certainly is not that we literally eat His flesh. I know that your church teaches that this peice of bread actually
becomes Jesus. Well, this is just not true. I am positive that if you did a chemical analysis of the host before and after consecration you would find that nothing had changed that the peice of bread was still bread. So, the very thing that you say Jesus is talking about literally requires a symbolic leap of faith.
I’m about halfway through catching up on this post, so don’t yet know what is to be (has been??) said on this, but I thought this might be worth addressing.

I know that it’s not in scripture, therefore is something that you may refuse to accept, but it should be recognized that throughout history, there have been many miracles involving the consecrated host (bread) turning into actual flesh, and the consecrated blood (wine) being turned into actual blood. This has been well documented, and many of these miraculous transformations can still be seen with your own eyes, should you be willing to do some traveling. Scientists have even been able to take samples in recent years, and they have verified, with current scientific equipment, that this truly is human flesh and blood. There have been books written on this, but here’s one treatment of one instance of the phenomenon.

These are miracles that can be seen and experienced today, even though they happened centuries ago! This is not necessarily irrefutable proof for transubstantiation, but it is certainly enough to give one pause to consider!

If you’ll pardon the deliberate pun, it’s certainly food for thought…

Thanks Jharek. I tend to agree with you. The questions I asked were made about one month ago. All I’ve gotten so far is the run-around and being ignored. With this I am certain that the statements that were made were maliciously false and have nothing to back them up. So much for the SDA.

P101,

You are sooooooooooooooooooo right about that one! 😃
I see how you just love it so when you can “show” your audience how the Adventist must be lying, denying or evading. I will just be quiet and let you revel in your “message.” May your “good news” be spread far and wide…👍
Actually, there is no revel here - it is just so sad that you go through all of these ‘dance’ steps of yours in an effort to try and discredit the Church of Jesus Christ - and look what you accomplish - an unmasking of your sham presentation.

What really surprised me (honest, you got me on this one…) is that you go back and still attack Jval for his faithful adherance to the Magisterium. I realize that you may not understand how Christ and His Church are One - but, ridicule is so…so…so… SDA! And, maybe before you reapply your persona - you will take a careful look at what you are showing yourself to be. What really makes this the sad part is that you really do not have to be like this at all.

Seriously, now, just take a minute and catch your breath. Pray to the Holy Spirit on open your Bible to John 6. Look how Christ feed the 5,000 with a miracle … look how He feeds us today… with an even bigger miracle. Finding our more about the Love of Christ is immediately available to you. His message was one of leaving the darkness and coming into the Light of His Love. Re-read your past dozen posts - they are argumenative, defensive and insulting. Nothing in them conveys the Love of Christ. Accept God’s Grace - that is why (I am sure) you have remained on this list - looking for His Love. Just open your heart P101 - with His Grace you can do that! 🙂

God bless

Beg pardon, I didn’t know you were Canadian.
Inspite of? We thank God for all the food he has given us. “What God has blessed let no man call unholy.”

I just said they were dead, or do you eat your’s alive? I hope you atleast take the feathers off!

Yes they are easier to pluck that way!
I’m having a little fun with you, at your expense of course; but there is a time to be thankful, for sure. When I was a kid; my grandfather used to go pheasant hunting. He trained me to dress and clean them and get them ready for the soup pot. I learned to do ducks and all the other things he hunted. They were actually good times, and wonderful childhood memories. I would just add that we can make good food choices, and bad food choices, some choices better than others. But you are right - we should be thankful for the food we are given. We have so much when others have so little. There is something quite precious about a family praying at the table, and thanking our Lord. 🙂

Protestant101:

Do I have to wait forever for an answer? Or are greggy53, tqualey, and others correct when they say you dance around and evade questions that you cannot answer? I am disappointed in you and other SDAs and I am begining to believe the stories that are circulating about the SDA.

You can have all the fun you want at my expense. I am not so thin skinned that I can’t take a little ribbing. Just remember that when I give it back to you, If you can dish it out you’d better be ready to take it as well.

I have heard that DSA are required, or perhaps encouraged to abstain from eating meat. Is this true? And if so why?..And don’t tell me that eating meat is bad for you that’s not true.

They can’t reply directly because they can’t supply the evidence for what they say about God’s Church…Not to reply is to reply.

OK. You may be right. But I’ll wait a bit longer and see what happens. If no answer is forthcoming, then I’ll just have to accept that the SDA Church is a false and heretical Church organized by Satan to deceive and dupe the unknowing and uninformed. Very, very sad.

What is “DSA?”

Hey greggy. I see what you mean. You make a typo and it’s pounced on instead of answering the question or comment. What a way to evade answering a question. Nit pick, play with semantics, or typos, when you know you are wrong or can’t answer. A better way than admitting you were wrong and having to say you’re sorry. I’ve lost all faith in whatever protestant101 has to say. I will never be able to believe him. I just hope all SDAs are not the same. If they are, then there is no use in trying to dialogue with them. Are you listening protestant101?
