Well, that clears things up. I suspect everyone agres rape is just plain bad and evil. Anyone dissent?

Lol - this is true! But we are christians so we should just believe, right? But more to the point, it proved nothing for him by being born from a virgin because people can still choose not to believe.

But read this bit here; John 6 :37. Only Gods chosen people will believe in him? 🤷

Suffering is not inherently evil, or else God would be evil for making Job suffer. It is only evil when we take it upon ourselves to be the judge of when people should experience pain, though this isn’t the case for sex in marriage, since marriage is a sacrament from God.

In the bible it says; “Do not withhold your self from your marriage partner.”
This sounds very evil to me, if you know what I mean?

It doesn’t, and even if it did, I don’t put my “gut feeling” above reason.

This is ridiculous. Please explicitly state why you think it “sounds evil.” If you continue to dance around the point, then we will accept that as evidence that there isn’t one.

I will not, since you continue to avoid the question I posed to you. There is no reason to think this “sounds evil.” You are dodging the point to avoid admitting you are wrong. If I am mistaken, then please correct me with an explicit answer as to how this verse “sounds evil.”

Husbands and wives make promises to each other in their marriage vows . They basically give their bodies to each other. It is a loving thing. Now I understand you have issues with sex because of your past but you are going to have to separate your experiences from what God intends for marriage in order to understand scriptures such as that. Child abuse is not supposed to happen. The giving of each other in marital union in marriage is supposed to happen. One is evil and one is not.
