Is there any trascriptions of the Shakespeare plays into a narrative form? I would love to read more Shakespeare, but I cannot get into the format of the plays. Any suggestions?
I had a book one time that had the original format that Shakespeare wrote in. The Complete Works of Shakespeare I think it was called. Is there any trascriptions of the Shakespeare plays into a narrative form? Many have been pretty faithfully adapted into movies. Would those be easier? Is there any trascriptions of the Shakespeare plays into a narrative form? I would love to read more Shakespeare, but I cannot get into the format of the plays. Any suggestions?
No, I really want to read Shakespeare. Many have been pretty faithfully adapted into movies. Would those be easier?
They’re really meant to be seen; that’s why they’re hard to read in play form. No, I really want to read Shakespeare.
On this note though- Much Ado About Nothing is being released. It was adapted in a modern day version with the classic dialogue by Joss Whedon.
Actually, it really needs to be read to understand the full scope of what Shakespeare was talking about. Or it wouldn’t be Shakespeare now would it??They’re really meant to be seen; that’s why they’re hard to read in play form.
It’d be hard to make a prose adaptation without adding a lot, since they’re 95% dialogue.
No, he was writing plays. They’re meant to be seen on the stage.Actually, it really needs to be read to understand the full scope of what Shakespeare was talking about. Or it wouldn’t be Shakespeare now would it??
I guess you have a point there. Most people can’t grasp the words itself so yes, seeing it in action helps people to understand human emotions. And you know, even back in his time, people were still doing the same things we did. The same mistakes and sins too. lol.I think you miss the point of Shakespeare if you don’t see him acted.
He wasn’t primarily about witty word usage, but a travelogue, of sorts, through human experience as acted out by genuine human beings.
I have been able to see several of his plays acted, including once in England. Unfortunately, the minor town I now reside in has no such performances.
My guess is that a narrative Shakespeare, like a movie novelization, would not be worth the trouble, and for the same reason: addition of tons of verbal fluff to create the narrative. If you can’t get to a stage version of Shakespeare, see the movie versions on DVD after reading the plays.

I wonder what made him wrote all that? For the same reason we are talking about? lol.Indeed!
There would be no point at all to Shakespeare if human beings and life were not essentially the same!!!

Because the ability to express human experience in a new way is what makes money!!!I wonder what made him wrote all that? For the same reason we are talking about? lol.
But I heard he was a poor man? Did they paid him to write those stories?Because the ability to express human experience in a new way is what makes money!!!.)

I don’t know about him being poor. I’ve been to his house in England; it’s about what you would expect for that period of time. It wasn’t a shack. But I heard he was a poor man? Did they paid him to write those stories?
Oh wow! I would love to go to his house. Where might that be at?? I am glad he was paid for his writing.I don’t know about him being poor. I’ve been to his house in England; it’s about what you would expect for that period of time. It wasn’t a shack.
