One time I was listening to a song driving that said “the Most High wants us alive” and almost got rammed from crazy minivan running a red almost right into my driver’s side. I barely saw the guy in order to swerve

I once guessed that a girl’s name that I met was Victoria.

The only world series game I attended with my sister 2 years ago ended up being the longest in history and she had to get up early the next day 😣

An interesting story about myself, hmmmm…

When I was about 12 I became very interested in studying maps. Maps of all kinds and of many places, but mostly my home province of Saskatchewan in western Canada. I even had a large road map of it on the wall of my bedroom. My younger brother had one as well and we would play a game we simply called “maps”. At ages 12 and 9 we were still unfamiliar with most of the many thousands of miles of highway and hundreds of towns in our geographic locale so the game was both fun and informative. With our rooms right across the hall from one another we would take turns finding a place and calling it out. The game was to see how quickly each of us could find the place on our own map without using the index.

One day I decided I would choose my personal favorite of all the places in this, my home province. So I closed my eyes, turned around a few times, ran my hand over the surface of the map and randomly stopped, holding one finger to the spot which would become my “favorite” town. I opened my eyes and saw I was pointing at a small place named Imperial. So Imperial from that day forth was to be my favorite. It looked to be about a hundred miles from where I lived and I had never been there but planned to go when I was old enough to drive.

I never forgot Imperial. Here’s the interesting part of the story. At age 23 I got married. I met my future wife at the church we both attended at the time. She began coming 3 years or so after me and we knew each other for a further 3 years before deciding we belonged together. This has no bearing on my decision to ask her to marry me, but she came here from out of town in order to attend college. She was originally from a farm near to, and attended school in… Imperial. 🙂

That could be dangerous if you out on a boat or something but otherwise, it’s not a bad thing. But glad you did it!

When I first saw your post I saw Imperial first and thought you were referencing Imperial, Missouri which is a meth infested dump, glad it was in Canada lol!

God gave you a glimpse of your future!

Oh my goodness how could I forget this story!?!! About 7 years ago I was on my confirmation retreat and the first night they had us sit out in an arena under the stars while a meditative speaker was setting the mood and some musicians were playing really slow music behind him. At some point he told us to close our eyes. Then he said “feel the presence of God” and at that exact moment there was an earthquake!!! People screamed, but no one moved and the rest of the night there was a constant murmur of shock and disbelief. I remember going back to high school and all the Catholics in my grade who went to the retreat had the greatest story to tell about the earthquake!!

The brother of my Great-great-great-great grandfather was the Archbishop of Paris and his sister was the Superior at Notre Dame.

Or so my brother tells me.

I’m so sorry. Be assured of my prayers. :pray:t3:

I have a birthmark on my scalp upon which no hair has ever grown. It’s about the size of a nickel. 😊

I have a scar on my right shoulder that I got from playing around with a sparkler (when I was a kid).

Fifty+ years ago I learned to sew on my grandmother’s treadle sewing machine. I made all of my school clothes in high school.

I have so many scars on my body I couldn’t count them! I’d have to start with a minimum size limit! 😂😂😂

I have a very large comic collection…which isn’t unusual for many guys. However, I’m a 67 yo female and started collecting in my 30’s!

At least a few times each year, I appear on national television.

(No, not on “America’s Most Wanted”…yet.)

Back when I worked in a pet store (35 years ago), we used to sell big tarantula spiders. I was never bitten by one, but they do shed those little hairs when they feel threatened, which are very itchy and annoying when they get on your skin 😠.

Before our son was born, I used to keep snakes. I had a twelve foot (3.6M) Reticulated python and a six foot (1.8M) Burmese python. Also, a southern Pacific rattlesnake, though I didn’t keep that venomous one for very long 🐍.
