Please share any little snippets of spiritual wisdom thoughts ideas that may help our brothers and sisters on this forum.
Please note this is not a thread to post pages of theology. Just a sentence to a few sentences each would be nice! Thank you. šŸ™

My pastor said this morning at Mass of the Holy Trinity:

Often we may ask how can God be one God yet three persons? Just look at H2O. It can be ice, liquid water, or steam. Yet they are all H2O.

St. Faustina says we can choose to live in God’s justice or in hs mercy. Repentance and humility.

The more you have , the more you want , and the less it gives ( A Jesuit priest said that many times during a retreat I was on in the 1960s ) .

It depends on what day you ask me; guess I’m too mercurial!

Lately, it has been ā€œFor I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before meā€, followed immediately by ā€œAs far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us,ā€ because "…the one who sat on the throne said, ā€˜Behold, I make all things new.ā€™ā€

Perhaps in light of the answer I just posted to Rob’s question, I should have said Leviticus 20:3? Can’t figure out how to post a link.

Put your face in the dirt and realize you are a speck of dust, roaming a larger speck of dust, in a creation full of dust, and the Creator holds this entire Universe in his hands in the way we hold a grain of sand from the seashore.

Keep custody of the heart and carefully preserve inner peace.

See! It is Spring again!
After this scourge of ice and storm,
Returns Nature’s sweet refrain
Of balmy air filling the morn
With breeze’s gentle, loving touch
Upon the vibrant, budding land
Now free of Winter’s brutal clutch
Retreating like an unseen hand
Filled now with Nature’s ecstasies
Of life and warmth and shining sun
Basking in such tranquility
As if a battle has been won!
As if we have at last returned
To Eden’s long lost boundaries
And dared to cross over those sacred waters
Which green those ancient fields and trees
Where once we dwelt and once did trod
With unshod feet the garden of God
Under a sky of purest light
Where golden rays vanquish death’s night
Except for evening’s subtle hue
Reminding us through day’s rebirth
That all God’s works are ever new
That if such beauty be seen on earth
Then all talk of Heaven must be true
Until the Winter is renewed

Humility is the key to the kingdom of God. That’s why it’s so dang hard!

"God can not be grasped, except through love. " Cloud of Unknowing.

Jim

Mans only ā€œimperfectionā€ is that he’s not God. Mans perfection involves coming to know that fact.

Humility must be practiced. If we do not have humility, God will provide it. It’s been my experience that these times are not enjoyable. Make frequent use of the sacrament of reconciliation.
