**Sharon to Undergo Heart Surgery

JERUSALEM — Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will undergo a heart catheterization within three weeks to repair a small hole in his heart discovered after he suffered a minor stroke, his doctors said Monday.
Dr. Chaim Lotem said the hole, less than an eighth of an inch, is a minor birth defect found in 15 percent to 25 percent of the population. He said doctors plan to insert a catheter through the 77-year-old Sharon’s esophagus and insert an umbrella-like device that will seal the hole.
