RE:
Is it detrimental to my spiritual health if I don’t read from a Catholic published Bible?
Many thanks and God bless you all
THE “TRUTH” BIBLE
2 Peter 1: 18-21
[18] And this voice we heard brought from heaven, when we were with him in the holy mount. [19] And we have the more firm prophetical word: whereunto you do well to attend, as to a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: [20] Understanding this first, that no prophecy of scripture is made by private interpretation. [21] For prophecy came not by the will of man at any time: but the holy men of God spoke, inspired by the Holy Ghost.
DOUAY BIBLE INTERPERATION
[20] “No prophecy of scripture is made by private interpretation”: This shews plainly that the scriptures are not to be expounded by any one’s private judgment or private spirit, because every part of the holy scriptures were written by men inspired by the Holy Ghost, and declared as such by the Church; therefore they are not to be interpreted but by the Spirit of God, which he hath left, and promised to remain with his Church to guide her in all truth to the end END QUOTES
Are YOU aware that the Bible is a CATHOLIC BOOK so if you’re actually seeking God’s Truth that is what should be read.
[1] The OT books were after extensive debate, chosen by the early Catholic Father’s &
The ENTIRE NT is AUTHORED by men known today to have been Early Catholics
[2] FACT: Today’s RCC was the ONLY “Christian” Church and Faith of note {there were some heretics} until 1054 AD and the GREAT Eastern Schism. This is historically provable if you care to spend a bit of time on Bible and Catholic Church history.
[3] The Bible is thought to have been FULLY authored by the end of the 1st Century
[4] EVERY reference therefore to "church: or “churches” refer to today’s RCC
Douay Bible with explanation
[18] And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock
I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. [19] And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven. [20] Then he commanded his disciples, that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ. {MY CHURCH" is singular as is the Faith of that One True Church.}
[18] “Thou art Peter”: As St. Peter, by divine revelation, here made a solemn profession of his faith of the divinity of Christ; so in recompense of this faith and profession, our Lord here declares to him the dignity to which he is pleased to raise him: viz., that he to whom he had already given the name of Peter, signifying a rock, St. John 1. 42, should be a rock indeed, of invincible strength, for the support of the building of the church; in which building he should be, next to Christ himself, the chief foundation stone, in quality of chief pastor, ruler, and governor; and should have accordingly all fulness of ecclesiastical power, signified by the keys of the kingdom of heaven
