I discovered this controversial kids’ show from another thread. The concept is that a male character gains superpowers, but they require him to be a girl. Imagine Green Lantern, but each incarnation winds up looking the same in superhero form. Well I watched the first episode, and it seemed just that. Another superhero gimmick. I didn’t perceive at least any blatant attempts at pushing an agenda. To me, it seemed to be, again, a superhero gimmick. He tempted fate by mocking his aunt’s superpowered ring (and by being sexist), and wound up with those superpowers. To be honest, I was much more offended by the oversaturation of she-puns.Check this out. No offense, but I can’t say that I’ve never disliked being male.
