Check this out. No offense, but I can’t say that I’ve never disliked being male.
I discovered this controversial kids’ show from another thread. The concept is that a male character gains superpowers, but they require him to be a girl. Imagine Green Lantern, but each incarnation winds up looking the same in superhero form. Well I watched the first episode, and it seemed just that. Another superhero gimmick. I didn’t perceive at least any blatant attempts at pushing an agenda. To me, it seemed to be, again, a superhero gimmick. He tempted fate by mocking his aunt’s superpowered ring (and by being sexist), and wound up with those superpowers. To be honest, I was much more offended by the oversaturation of she-puns.

Pushing a transsexual agenda (to me) would look like:
Computer: Here are rings that will turn you 4 into the Fantastic Four
Guy: Great, I’ll be Invisible Woman

Taking a gamble and winding up with gender bending powers seems to be pushing an agenda no more than the fact that Time Lords can switch genders when regenerating. (Corsair has been both male and female in past regenerations)

I wouldn’t go so far to say that the show blatantly pushes the LGBT agenda, but it does send the not-so-subtle message that gender is something that is fluid.

And this is intended for children ages 6 to 11, when they are still developing gender identification…

I’m just curious what you make of the references to Bugs Bunny (who also cross-dressed in multiple episodes) at the end of the clip shared by the OP?

While I can’t provide specific references, I can say confidently that Bugs Bunny “disguised” himself as a woman to escape catastrophe. That’s much different than a boy transforming himself to become a girl who happens to be endowed with super powers. It would be like Clark Kent becoming Wonder Woman instead of Super Man…

Even in What’s Opera, Doc? It stars Bugs as Brünhilde in the Ring Cycle.

A few things to clarify about Shezow, which may or may not influence opinions:
-He doesn’t want to be Shezow
-It’s only a costume change, like Zelda → Sheik. He does NOT become a girl

Also, Clark Kent to Wonder Woman is a bad example. It would be like Hal Jordan and all the Green Lanterns after him transforming into Alan Scott, the first Green Lantern. Except if Alan Scott was actually Elaina Scott.

Side note: Yes, I know it’s not the same ring for Alan Scott, Hal Jordan, etc. It’s still a better analogy

What and I suppose that the Ingels family from little house on the prairie and magically exempt from this same standard when Charles (the father) goes and paints himself black with a bunch of other men in the town and sing 'We are the Darkies" in mockery of black people? (Ref: By the Shores of Silver Lake)

People have been dressing up outside of their caste, religion, gender and race for ages to poke fun. To what degree is the ultimate question.

you know, its sad to know this isn’t the first transsexual kids show super hero. cybersix anyone?

Actually, it’s been confirmed by the creator of the show that it’s only a costume change. His body is still male.

Best to avoid this.

I’m starting to think you don’t like people thinking for themselves. You know the church fathers frequently gather and debate all the topics that plaque us these days?

There’s nothing wrong debating moral theology in the spirit of christian mentality.

If you want people to shut their doors and wait for Rome to print out a letting on good for you but the rest of us like to leave our homes once in a while and can’t wait for a council answer everything.

Sometimes common sense coupled with prayer does wonders.

thats what i figured. i thought they were never going to bring it up just to have people guessing, its good that they are not doing that. just like how everyone knows applejack’s (and to a lessor degree, scotalos) parants are dead

Does this mean that every performance of Shakespeare for hundreds of years was also part of an evil LGBT agenda because men dressed as women?

.
Are you serious? That happened?

Ah, “the good ol’ days.”
