What’s insulting about that question? It’s a hypothetical question about a hypothetical 30 year old man having sex with a hypothetical child. The question is not talking about anyone in particular, or is it?

Do you think the question was referring to you as the 30 year old man?

Are you saying there is a gray area to the question, “Is it moral for a grown man to have sex with a pre-pubescent girl”?

Incidentially I dont’ find it insulting for you to ask me if I am a prostitute or would I sleep with you for money on this here internet forum. Answers: No, and No.

That makes no sense and you know it. There is no gray area for pedophilia. If you’re ashamed of the answer, you shouldn’t be doing it or condoning it. Pretty simple, but I guess common sense goes out the window when trying to get an honest, straight forward, no evading, answer from you.

Pro is in dilemma. One hand, he does not agree. On the other hand, his religion did it and in Shia its OK.

Absolutely 100 percent. When I read threads like these especially.

I remember why I started questioning my participation in the Church every time I read another thread like this.

I question my faith all the time, to honestly leave a religion because of a message board is absurd. Go to any message board you get the same stuff, no matter what religion. People are bolder, and mesage boards allows them to vent frustrations anonymously. It’s a very shallow reason to leave a religion.

That said, it’s a tough topic, perhaps sicne you are emotionally involved too much in it, it would be better to step back and allow Muslim apologists to answer it.
 
If Pro_Universal really left the Catholic Church people should be trying to get him back, not gloating stuff over him.

As I’ve posted many times, it’s not the only reason, and it’s not the message board.

I find this problem everywhere I go in the Church, at every level (though it seems to be worse out there in laity.)

Add that to the complete and total abandomnet of anything remotely like modesty or respect for traditional norms of male/female chastity, and I can’t bring myself to believe this is God’s revelation at work.

I think you know as well as I do that this isn’t just a message board problem.

This is probably the best advice I’ll receive on the thread.

It’s tough not to say something when people are being so utterly uncharitable to those of other faiths who might be reading though, isn’t it?

Well if it’s any consolation, Catholics aren’t all bad. People are people, we’re all lost sinners in the end. I still think you should go back to Church, go to confession and try daily Mass and adoration, couple with praying the rosary and reading the scriptures. I will honestly say a prayer for you to come back home.
