Shock after Dutch priest endorses pedophilia

The Dutch Catholic Church and the Salesian order are investigating revelations that a Salesian priest served on the board of a group that promotes pedophilia with the full knowledge of his boss.

The order’s top official in the Netherlands, Delegate Herman Spronck, confirmed in a statement that the priest - identified by RTL Nieuws as 73-year-old “Father Van B.” - served on the board of “Martijn,” a group that campaigns to end the Dutch ban on adult-child sex.

The group is widely reviled but not outlawed.

“Of course we reject this and distance ourselves from this personal initiative” on the part of the priest, Spronck said in a statement. “Membership in such organizations does not fit with the ethos of the Salesian order.”

Where there is smoke, there is fire. This person needs to be investigated.
 
As someone who attended a Salesian school and can vouch for the piety of this great order and the excellence of their education, I cannot contain my sadness.

I think there is some sort of sick justification for these priests to prey on young boys. I think it’s more than the spirit of the 60s; it’s a perverted psychology which endorsed this kind of behaviour as healthy.

It’s almost like vatican II was the excuse for these latent evils to come to the surface in our church. The positive outlook of the time which clearly influenced the documents of vatican ii was distorted by faithless theologians and clergy to spread this filth.
 
I find this to be sickening. I hope and pray that this priest is not involved in pedophilia.
 
And now this was somehow linked with cardinal Bertone. These people are tireless in trying to throw stones as close to the pope as possible. First they try to accuse His Holiness of a coverup and now, since they couldn’t make that stick they are going after Bertone. Does anyone have an idea of what really happened here. This is the link to the story, in the most important newspaper in Spain (left-leaning and with high sales).
