She looks unremarkable in the second picture. Definitely better with short hair.
Unremark—! Good day, sir! (Or ma’am!)
Actually, you said:

There is no mention of morality here. Don’t give a vauge illusion, and then expect everyone to understand. What’s so hard about typing “What’s immoral about short hair? Discuss.” And there are several posts with no moral component listed, and you managed to ignore them, until someone dared disagree with your hairstyle opinion.

Even beside the folly above; one will never be able to post a thread “Morality of not brushing your teeth” without someone posting “That’s gross!”. It’s bound to happen. You could write five times in your opening piece about how you just want to talk about the moral aspects; you will get what you expect to get.

Allow me to answer in parable:

A man finds a beaten up husk of a 1965 mustang. He rebuilds the engine, patches the body and cleans the interior so you could eat off the floor. He then paints the exterior with flat grey paint from a can, and applies it with a 3" horsehair brush. Many may be envious of the car, few will find the paint job appealing. Some will, no doubt. They will assure him that his counter-cultural message resonates. Most will just not mention it, or say “it’s nice” simply to be polite, especially if he gets easily offended by slights against his paint. Still others will toss around the notion, “It’s his car, let him do as he will.”

Studies have shown that how nice a car looks is a factor in how attractive a man is seen by women, and his likeliness of getting a date.

But is it immoral for such a fantastic car to have such a lousy looking coat of paint? Discuss.
While I can’t agree with the tone, I hope this makes it clear how we mistook in good faith a post about something that most reasonable cannot imagine there being a moral dimension to as being a post re: taste that was simply made in the wrong forum.

For my part I apologize for the confusion and any hurt feelings resulting from it.

St. Joan of Arc wore her hair short, by order of God!

From a morality perspective, there is nothing wrong with a woman wearing her hair short. The only way I could possibly see it being a problem is if it was a source of vanity or pride in her life. But that would go for just about any hair style.
