Lethal injections offer legal shield

By Carey Goldberg, Globe Staff | August 10, 2007
In response to the Supreme Court decision upholding the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act, many abortion providers in Boston and around the country have adopted a defensive tactic. To avoid any chance of partially delivering a live fetus, they are injecting fetuses with lethal drugs before procedures.

That clinical shift in late-term abortions goes deeply against the grain, some doctors say: It poses a slight risk to the woman and offers her no medical benefit.

Made me sick at the stomach to read this. I was especially outraged at the Docotrs saying it goes deply against their “grain” So ripping the child apart causes them no problem but kiiling it with drugs does.

Not also the absurd language of the abotion lobby-the Doctors are afraid they migh accidently deliver a “live fetus”

I guess the Hippocratic oath is passe…I guess the protection of all life is not a natural goal for doctors. More reasons to pray. It saddens me so much.😦

Would you trust a physician that does such a thing? Would you trust a physician that will hasten a mans death to “harvest” organs? Would you trust a physician that will “help put down” a person that has “no quality of life” with your life?

What happened to “first do no HARM”?

MOST graduating classes of doctors no longer say the Hippocratic Oath. They haven’t for quite sometime. Seems they couldn’t get past the admonishment to 'first, do no harm."

I also wont support a politican who supports such a thing. i may have to sit out the next Presidential lesson. Can you imagine being led by one who thinks it should be legal to kill our shikdren

BTW-I recetly read an articel by a Dr who said the shot they give to kill the child cause a very painful death.

Imagine being afraid that they might deliver a live baby! (not fetus-baby)
We have reached a time when we call good evil and evil good. Imagine knowingly injecting potassium injection into the heart of a viable infant in order to kill it, and this is called a right?
I think it was the wife of Billy Graham who said that if God lets this tocontinue then He owes an apology to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Society speaks about killing in utero children, just like another ho hum event.
We have a lot to pray about and for.

That and they weren’t particularly inclined to swear in the name of Apollo.

There are actually some ethical difficulties with the oath, such as the requirement to act only in the interest of the patient, which may conflict with protecting a community from a patient in certain cases.

Especially those vicious fetus’s.
