'Shots fired' in Munich shopping centre, German police deployed

Shots have been fired in a Munich shopping centre and a police operation is under way.
Reports say the area round the shopping centre in the district of Moosach has been sealed off, but details of the incident are sketchy.
Several people are reported to have been killed, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper quotes police as saying.
The security forces have been on alert after a migrant stabbed five people on a train in Bavaria on Monday.
The authorities had warned of the danger of further attacks.
Reports speak of one attacker. Helicopters are said to be flying over the scene and workers being unable to leave their shops.
Munich police are telling people to avoid the area.

Thanks for the latest information on this apparently never-ending pattern of violence and bloodshed. My prayers for the deceased, injured, and their families.
 
Allegedly, there are multiple casualties and several people may have been killed - TV news - approximately 30 shots fired.
 
It won’t be long, and this won’t even be news any more.

Just another day in Europe.
 
Is it too much to ask that, just for one day, people go without killing each other?

i wonder if the assailants were one of the migrants that came into Germany under Merkel’s open invite to all muslims.

funny how catholic spain kicked out all muslims during the reconquista which would be absolutely unconscionable in today’s pluralist global society.
 
There is uncertainty as to whether there was one or more than one gunman, and it’s too early to know if this is a “lone wolf” Islamist terrorist who may or may not have had a mental disorder, or if he was directly connected to ISIS or another terror group. Just terrible.
