Should condoms be illegal? (hypothetically)

I completely agree. I have no issues with Muslims. I guess I was just trying to shock [some of] the posters here into seeing how horrific the concept of applying religion X to state law appears when one is not part of religion x.

Unfortunately, in the midst of the current deranged ‘Islamophobia’ witch hunts in the US, that was the easiest way to shock. Substitute ‘blood transfusions will be illegal so you have to watch your loved one die needlessly’ and it’s the same thing.

That’s why we need separation of church and state, to cut a long story short. It’s always going to be ‘which church? which subdivision of that church?’ and so on.
 
Condoms should not be made illegal. Neither should fornication, not attending Mass on Sundays, swearing, etc. Our government is secular and I’d like to keep it that way.

Besides, my ROTC friends use condoms for their guns, I found out that I could have sold the ones I was given (my university, sadly, gives them out like candy) to them instead of throwing them in the trash…

I’m sorry–I meant to say that I understood your point! haha:o …I agree–because we are a melting pot of religions in this country…and it would be unwise to link government with any religion–to rule the land, in my eyes. It seems like it would lead to what we see in other countries who govern like this–oppression, not democracy.😦
 
I would be more interested in getting rid of cigarets, and a number of other noxious substances before attacking something that is in fact useful in maintaining public health. There is a reason they are called “prophylactics.”
