Should homosexual acts be illegal from a Catholic & Government perspective?

You don’t really hear them where? On here in these forums or when large groups of these “gay” activists are in the news protesting at the Vatican naked with obscenities written on their naked bodies? A picture would be worth a thousand words, but the pictures of “gay” activists protesting are too obscene to show here.

A small number of people committing gross public indecency does not actually comment on their sexual lives or those of others.

If “gay” activist groups aren’t all like this it should be easy for you to give me one example of a different “gay” activist group publicly denouncing this and the naked protests at the Vatican. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve asked you for this and you could not provide it. 🙂

The naked protests at the Vatican were very recent. It happened just before the last Pope resigned. It made international news, but not a single “gay” activist group publicly denounced it. That’s why I say that all the “gay” activist groups, by omission or outright agreement, agree with that kind of behavior. All you would have to do is provide me with one example of a different “gay” activist group that has a public statement denouncing this kind of extremism. But I don’t think you can since none exist. Westboro Baptist protests get universal denouncement. 🙂

I only said that I wouldn’t have a problem with sodomy being made illegal. And even though I did not discriminate and applied what I said equally to “gay” and “straight” you still have a problem with it. Why? Don’t you believe in punishment equality? 🙂

not at all. legislatures, courts, prosecutors, defense attorneys, victims rights groups, etc., all accept that some people will be punished differently for the same crimes. this is very, very basic civics, you should know this.

While we have a duty to preach against it. It isn’t something we can make illegal. This should not stop us from calling it immoral, however.

I don’t know when that was, without a news article on the protest it is difficult to search for other articles on it.

History shows in the US at least that sodomy laws were extremely unevenly enforced.

You’ve never searched for anything on Google? It was reported on by Reuters Sunday, January 13, 2013, 2:16 PM. If I provide the link to the naked protest I could get reported for it because we can’t provide a link to anything that is pornographic and obscene, and you know that.

Hint: I wasn’t born yesterday. 😉

However, I’ve never heard of a case where someone was convicted of sodomy…How do you prove it happened?

We’re in the process of drafting a new constitution, so let’s see if they’ll retain that law.

Actually I have seen several convicted. You can look to rape charges and will see sodomy listed among them.

those are how the prosecutors pile on to rape charges. sodomy is a secondary concern, its part of how pleas are negotiated.

proving that sodomy occurred during the course of consensual sex without a confession? insane. not worth the effort.

Sorry, I wasnt talking about the second part of your post. The poster I was quoting said he never saw someone convicted of sodomy. I said that I have 🤷

But there are many who will proudly let everyone know of their sodomy. Like I was saying, it wouldn’t bother me if it was made illegal since I’ve never practiced it and don’t ever plan to. It’s not only immoral but totally unnecessary in a relationship. 🙂

Cool, bro. Let’s criminalize Catholicism since that would never affect me. Of course, I don’t know who is or isn’t a practising Catholic, but we’ll just arrest anyone who claims to be a Catholic.
