My suggestion? Be nice to your neighbor, and act natural. It will all be forgotten and the awkwardness will go away. God knows you tried and now so do we!
My suggestion? Yes, of course be nice…but be a prophetic voice…a nice one of course, heaven knows that we would not want to “offend” anyone with concern for their souls. We, in the True Faith, have had our prophetic teeth yanked out of our heads

I wish someone would have said something to me when I was away from the Church. Didn’t anyone care about my soul?😦

Why is questioning with the an intent of good “judging”? We have gone too far with the notion of “judging” labeling every good question asked, or comment made by this term. Have we in reality given ourselves and our interpretation of the Faith over to religious and moral relativism? He did not accuse the gentleman or his spouse of immorality did he? He merely MENTIONED that he did not see them at mass…why do we read this as judgement rather than concern? Right or wrong at least the guy was being honest with a motive for his brother and sister’s welfare…we need to stop being religious wimps afraid of our own shadows.
I’ll say Amen to your post and thank you for supporting me. I really thought i was being led by the Holy Spirit when i spoke to my neighbor. I like seeing this family in Church. Their little girl is so well behaved and it encourages me when they are there.

He is a Reader and she is a Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. Because they live across the hall from me, i thought we had a good connection as Catholics. Not many people from our building attend our parish Church.

Fortunately we have not run into each other since that Sunday, so I don’t know if he might be a bit miffed with me. I have not seen them at Mass the last two weeks either. It’s water under the bridge. I have prayed a Rosary novena for this family since then. I hope my prayers have been answered.

May God bless them,

Joseph Michael

That is just the kind of thing to say to them when you next see them. Talk about what an encouragment they are to you!

Blessing on you for saying a novena for them!
