Hello, I am currently a catechumen in the RCIA program and I am, well, let’s just say about 214.33% sure I want to be a Catholic
. However I was baptized as a Mormon around the age of 12 (I am 18) and, although I am totally aware that the LDS church and the Roman Catholic Church are completely separate entities, I was curious if it matters whether or not I have my name removed from their records? One reason I ask this is because the members of the church still come by once a month to collect the “fast offering” and my parents pay it even though they haven’t stepped foot in that church for years (Mom is Agnostic/Anti-religious, Dad is likely a lukewarm, Protestant Christian). I just wouldn’t want to deal with them coming to my door every so often when I have my own place, thinking I am still a loyal member. What do ya’ll think? I apologize if this question is too obnoxious
