Should I say I "believe" God exists? Or that I "know?" I say I know

Interesting. Your faithfulness in uncertainty is an example to us all - to me, at least. 👍

All of my friends have gone away to out-of-state universities, only a few remain, so the topic rarely comes up. But when it does, I have an heir of confidence that they don’t like! :yyeess:
What is one to say if one has doubt? Is it more noble to lie or to exaggerate one claim to belief? Seems contradictory. Doubt is not willed. Doubt cannot be controlled with the will. I want more then anything to believe with a greater intensity, but cannot will this on myself. That, would be a false trust.

I am certainly, uncertain. I trust very few who claim otherwise.

It is not noble to lie. It is also not noble to doubt. It is good to be honest about your doubts. Doubt, however, can be controlled with the will, at least to some extent. That is why doubt can be sinful. Our thought patterns are influenced by what we choose to do. Doubt should function as a spur to action and if you are complacent in your doubt that is an offense against truth and charity.
