Not looking to influence those who have not yet voted, but I wanted to comment on a few of the points raised by folks so far.
To those who have remarked about the subforum’s contribution to easing navigation on the site, that argument could be used to support an entire series of subforums on the site, one for each major non-Catholic faith, which isn’t going to happen

. It’s not such an awful idea, but we’d then end up with multiple under-utilized subforums.

How about just moving all these threads back into the NCR forum? The subjects will keep coming up and people may still want to comment on the threads herein. That also gives people just one forum to search thru.
Evangel,
It seems to me as if that would be a logical alternative; the situation is obviously different than that in which topics have been archived because they are no longer topical.
Along that line, the number of posts devoted to JWs is probably unlikely to change and might cause some to wonder “what’s the point? how will this reduce the amount of moderator staff time required?”. Frankly, it takes less time to review threads in the main Non-Catholic Religions forum, which are usually less prone to being controversial, than it does to review the subforums which tend to be magnets for controversy and, thus, require closer attention.

I only recently learned that in fact Jehohah’s Witnesses are NOT encouraged to post in religious forums (except those sponsored by the Watchtower Society itself). Therefore we are likely to see only sporadic and rare interaction with practicing Witnesses, leaving us to speculate among ourselves without having a knowledgeable insider to correct us. Things are different as regards Eastern Orthodoxy, the Latter-Day Saints, and Islam.
FB,
I think that is clearly one of the reasons behind the light traffic - there isn’t anyone available to query or by whom to be queried, no one with whom to engage in dialogue or debate. jbjwstar is the first Witness whom I’ve encountered posting here; only 6 members list it as their faith and 4 of those have never posted.
As a consequence, more threads here tend to focus on “JWs are coming to my door, how do I deal with them?” than on matters of theological or doctrinal substance.
