Power Rangers is one of my all time favourite TV Shows! I grew up with the series and still watch it to this day! Some of the later ones are not great compared to the originals but I have to say that I still get a kick out of watching the new seasons (in particular the current season Power Rangers RPM which is the best season to come in a long time).

Go! Go! Power Rangers! You Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers!
Weren’t the Power Rangers just a rip-off of Voltron?

😛 😉 😃

I second:
Firefly
MST 3000
Angel
Buffy (but, yes, 7 seasons was about as far as it could go)
Frasier
Fraggle Rock

I add:
Veronica Mars
Moonlight (not great television, but so fun!)

Clearly, a Joss Whedon fan. Dollhouse??? Um, well I’m not giving up yet.

Oh gosh, I miss The Mole, The Class, Reunion, and so many others in the past few years I wouldn’t be able to list them all.
I miss Reunion and The Mole, although it was on recently (and yes I know this post was written Dec. '07).

I did find out the ending to Reunion, but it would have been more satisfying to watch it.

Two shows I forgot:

Colditz

Combat! (I actually preferred the early seasons before colour: the B&W photography made it look more “authentic”)

I also liked the show Kenan and Kel. Those two were like a modern day Laurel and Hardy!

Lost in Space. Why was it canceled? They never got home. :crying:

Angel
Buffy
Beauty and the Beast (soap opera)
Dark Shadows (another soap opera)
MASH

usually I hate soap operas!

Early Edition (I have Season One on DVD and am eager for Season Two!)
The Young Riders (think this only lasted two seasons)
Fame
Aaron’s Way
and
Father Murphy (both of these were vehicles for Merlin Olsen after “Little House on the Prairie”, but probably too “tame” or “wholesome”… I liked them, though!)
**Crime Story **(loved Dennis Farina!)
Unsolved Mysteries (Wednesday nights, 7 pm, never missed it!)
**When Days Were Rotten **(really telling my age now, anyone remember this?)

I just tried to list some that no one else mentioned (that I recall), but there are a lot more good old shows I’d love to see again!
YOUNG RIDERS WAS THE BEST!!! I miss Teaspoon *tear

All in the Family

Original Transformers
Voltron

Put them on reruns already *grrr
Okay, when I was a really little girl I loved Transformers sooooo much that I thought when I grew up I would be able to turn into a dump truck and marry optimus prime!! he was my hero!

For me:
ST:TOS
ST:TAS
Space Academy
Jason of Star Command
All in the Family
The Jeffersons
Good Times
the Original BSG (can’t stand the new one, and G82 was horrid)
BTVS
Angel
Firefly
Space: Above and Beyond
Homeboys in Outer Space
Babylon 5*
B5: Crusade **
Mercy Point **
St. Elsewhere
  • yeah, it ran the planned 5 years, but not having cable at the time, season 5 was hard to watch…
** it got killed too soon…

My favs

I Love Lucy
Andy Griffith
Fraiser
Seinfeld
Everwood

And now - ER

“The Adventures of Superman” starring George Reeves.

Because it went off the air before I was born, I only saw the reruns, but I love that show!!!
I loved the superman show, which now possibly survives only as a cartoon, if that.

I loved a lot of cartoons, too, like bugs bunny, daffy duck, elmer fudd.

I liked the really old shows, like Ed Sullivan. I never liked Lawrence Welk; I thought I might grow into that kind of music, but I haven’t yet.

I liked the show I Led Three Lives. Man from U.N.C.L.E (and I still know what that stands for), Mission Impossible, Loretta Young, The Thin Man, sometimes Hee-Haw, and lots of the shows already mentioned. Flipper, The Disney Program that used to run at 7:30 on Sunday nights. I loved to watch the serialized 1940 movies that were re-run on Saturday mornings. Flash Gordon (with Ming the Merciless), Father Knows Best, and Dr. Kildare. Barnaby Jones, Matlock.

I liked I Love Lucy the first couple times around, but I’m exhausted on that program.

JAG was like a comic book animated with actors, like when Harm was flying a jet and got a surface-to-air missle to lock on to him, rather than to hit a ship that was in the area. That’s just fantasy.

I’m upset that movies aren’t run more on TV. They’ve disappeared from prime time, now tucked away in specialty channels.

**I hate local news shows that are constantly teasing me about what they’re going to say, and then have nothing to say (really) when the news item is run. ** That’s getting very “old” to me.

Ooh, this thread brings back memories!

There are a lot that have been mentioned that I used to watch, like:

Fame
Star Trek (loved TNG and Voyager)
Buffy
Angel
Quantum Leap
Joan of Arcadia

And how about:

Roswell (I so miss that show!)
Charmed
Sliders

I can’t believe I didn’t mention the one TV show that got me through Saturday nights when I was in junior high–“Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters”! I loved that show, probably the last successful TV variety show. I wish I could find the series on DVD (they only have a “best of” collection.)

I also remember “Disney’s Wonderful World” (long before Disney Channel) and “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom” (with Marlin Perkins, the original “Crocodile Hunter” with apologies to Steve Irwin.)

So no one else remembers “When Days Were Rotten”? I must really be a nerd!

I miss the Weekend Today Show when David Bloom (God rest his soul) and Soledad O’brien hosted. I also miss David’s predecessor Jack Ford.

I don’t watch much TV now except for EWTN. I can’t stand the neverending commericals!
