Insulting others and ad hoc statements are prohibited by the rules.
I am surprised that you took my question as an insult and apologize for any insult taken.
I was sincere about it being an interesting comment worthy of a thread.
And that a continued discussion in this thread would take it off topic.

I don’t think I brought up the “pro-life” issue to begin with. As I said, you might wish to direct your comment to others.

I did not say you did.
But the idea of complicity in sin, and how one’s political views are connected to that is an interesting questions.
Perhaps for Moral Theology.

For consistency, perhaps you might correct these others as well then, the comments are above and I believe one of them even gave a “like” to your post. It seems that would be fair instead of calling me out in this thread.
So much for our “pro-life” administration. Kicking out a legal immigrant, who will die because of it.
I applaud President Trump’s acts on immigration. And I’d call them pro-life in fact.

Pretty frequently, we read about someone killed by someone in the country illegally committing a heinous act, it might be murder. In the Carolinas, there was a big scandal about the number of child sex crimes being committed by illegal migrants.

We are a nation of laws and our immigration system is bogged down. It’s either reform or enforce the laws. Check this out from North Carolina:

It’s epidemic.

Which political party in the United States is more pro-life in your opinion and why?
If you want to change the subject to a general discussion of the politial parties’ positions, you should start another thread. This thread is about a particular situation, a person who will die due to the policies of people who call themselves “pro-life,” and others who will be similarly affected by those policies.

Incidents like this bring out the difference between being pro-life and pro-birth. Abortion too often is nothing but a political consideration for those running for office, a way of getting votes, not based on any moral compass. The Church teaches much more than abortion, valuing life from conception to natural death, which is why the USCCB website has about 20 topic under the heading of pro-life.

You seem angry at this administration, and I am interested to hear your point of view. You said this is a pro-life issue. Ok, you have my attention. And to that, which party you support and why?
I’m not sure why you don’t understand, but I’ll try once:
I am angry at this situation, which will cause this young woman’s death.
This situation is caused by an administration that presents itself as “pro-life.”
It’s not about parties, it’s about life and death.

I get that. Your post do show anger towards this administration a lot. That is ok. Who can fix this? Which party is pro-life?

One more time: start a new thread if that’s what you want to discuss. Political parties are not the topic of this thread.

Is there any reason that prevented her or her family from apply for US Citizenship?

This seems like another case where people really don’t understand the System. Without Citizenship your stay here in the US is basically a privilege.

Nevertheless, I would advise her to apply for residence in Canada and perhaps, she could reenter the US at a later date.

From the article:
Bueso and her family have lived in the U.S. under “deferred action,” a form of temporary humanitarian relief that they renewed every few years.
I see no reason to send her home. She’s a foreign national here receiving life saving care.
She’s not a foreign national who came in illegally or under false pretenses. There are millions here who fit that description and deserve no more than a trip home. She doesn’t.

Unfortunately, what the Government gives it can also take away. It’s a Machine ⚙️

She was here legally as part of a study

Now she is not permitted to be here.

It’s not humane to just change the rules like that.

You need to have a green card for 5 years before becoming a citizen. So I don’t know.

We were told the “bad hombres” were supposed to be targeted for deportation.

Not terminal patients.

There is often reference to “5 non negotiables”. Euthanasia is a non negotiable.

The “gospel of life “ states that unjust deportations were anti life. How could this be just?

Is there any reason that prevented her or her family from apply for US Citizenship?
According to doctors treating some of these patients in Boston, the medical deferrals do not provide a pathway to citizenship. Pretty good reason.

They cannot, at anytime, apply on their own?
