It is a war on Catholics … at the same time it is equally a war on devout Moslems, orthodox Jews and those of our non-Catholic Christian brethren who are equally passionately anti-abortion and anti-artificial birth control.

Yes, I agree that it is a war on all pro-life people.

There is more accurately a war on men. The media seems to enjoy portraying men as idiots, philanderers, unfaithful, lazy, sissies. Not to mention how clergy are portrayed.

Yes, I think many woman seem to be having a war on men! Some belittle them and believe that they are superior.

If there is a war on women, it is being waged by those who voted against the bill which would outlaw abortions based upon the gender of the unborn child.

It baffles me that the issue of gender selective abortions, which are overwhelmingly used to terminate pregnancies where a girl is expected, is not a front and center feminist issue.

Yea, You would think the feminists would be up in arms about this! But NO they want their right to choose no matter what.

In any war, the leaders need to motivate the troops by saying the enemy hates them and wants to hurt them. To take away what is rightly theirs. Well, this is a perfect example. One of the key strategies of other groups that disagree with the Church is to convince those in their ranks that (a) the Church is wrong, and (b) because they want their group to believe the Church is wrong, they ask for their trust that what they say is true. So, for them, it follows that the only reason the Church is against their group and what they want, is because the Church “hates” them. And when the Church asserts its teaching - then it’s time to go to War.

Nothing stirs the troops to a fighting frenzy more than EMOTIONAL words and spreading the belief that the enemy “Hates you.”

There’s no money in following Church teaching about chastity. None. The fact is, the more faithful we all are, the fewer pills, condoms and related anti-baby devices get sold.

No, it is not about Catholics not wanting to pay for women’s contraceptives it is about Catholics being forced to give out contraceptives, the morning after pill and the like AGAINST their consciences! Our religious freedom is under attack!

It goes beyond religious freedom. It’s just another example of wanting other people to pay for our stuff, then whining when there is opposition to it.

The Crusades was a war on Catholics. The HHS mandate is not a war on Catholics. If Catholic churches were made to marry gay couples, that would be a war on Catholics.

You shouldn’t be able to force your moral beliefs on your employees and that is what the mandate is addressing.

The Federal Government has no legal right to force its citizens to buy anything. That is the problem.

People on your side may be happy because theyre gettting what they want. What about when they get stuff they dont want? Or are forced to get? Because the government says so? Actually, whenever it has the power, the Church argues forcefully and sometimes successfully for just that. Ireland for example, has only recently gained freedom in this respect.

Depends on one’s definition of “freedom” As an analogy a train is free only when it is on the track. If it derails it is not free to do as it ought to do. Same way with people. True freedom is not license to do what one wants. but rather free to do what we ought.

All people, men and women, need to shut their mouths, bend their knees, and learn how to submit to somebody and something higher than themselves. I’m getting beyond disgusted with the immense amount of pride that is seriously out of control in this nation. Not national pride, but self pride. It is disgusting. You are NOTHING but a servant of the Lord. So put aside your petty feelings, your pathetic ambitions, and your sickening desire to be your own master, and submit to he whom God commands you to submit in the sacred scriptures. Quit trying to conform God’s design to the paradigms of the modern. God created the family. We are destroying it. Men destroy it when they refuse to submit to the authority of the Lord, and women destroy it when they refuse to submit to the authority of man.

You cannot negotiate nor abrogate with that which has been upheld for over 2000 years in our faith as a moral standard on the sheer basis that it no longer fits into our culture.

Heavenly Father, let us do ourselves a favor and read Your scriptures. Help us to realize our place in this world, and to not disregard your divine design of the family. Lord have mercy on us for our grave transgressions, for when we reject your design and substitute it with our own it offends you beyond our comprehension.
