Because the Congress tends to have speakers that…let’s just say aren’t heavy on orthodox, faithful Catholic teachings from my understanding.Hi LRThunder,
What do you mean when you say to avoid the L.A. Religious Education Congress? I’ve been going since 1983 (Although I’ve missed 1984,1985,1987) That’s a total of 23 Congresses. I don’t know if you’ve ever been to a single one. From my experiences I find it very fulfilling, spiritually uplifting, faithfilled,a personal retreat, renewing my faith, learning more about my faith,a true meaning of a CATHOLIC (young, older, all shapes, all sizes, all colors, all nationalities, all ethnicities, all cultures, first time attendees, veteran attendees, et al), different forms of prayer;(A Labyrinth,Lamentation service, peace prayer, Morning praise, chapel w/adoration,Sacrament of Reconciliation), various types of Catholic music; (Gospel,Contemporary,Praise,
Rock, Contemplative, Choral ,Jazz, Celtic, Worship and others)
