To those who object to kneeling before Mary:
It is customary, at least in Western civilizations, to kneel before a monarch or a “Queen Mother”. For that matter, isn’t it proper to kneel before the Pope? To kiss his (or any bishop’s) ring?
We show all of this obeisance to earthly royalty; why not to that of heaven? Mary is THE Queen Mother – certainly kneeling before her is appropriate; it’s not the same thing as worshipping her.
