Know what? I applaud you for going to help the church where it’s been driven underground.

That’s not a problem here in the USA.

Another great thing about America: people can do whatever they want, like, say, going to some foreign mission…unlike, say, some nation where they have a draft for the army, or where the government tells you what to do.

Seriously? NOTHING good about America? Not 1? ONE?

And since you won’t answer that…how many other nations have you actually visited, to compare this place to?
ANd I have not visited other countries, but I hope to ASAP. Id rather live in physical poverty than spiritual poverty.

🤷 Maybe it will be someday. Just sayin. I wouldnt be too quick to throw that scenario out the window…

Ahh, Switzerland…a nation so great it wouldn’t even fight Hitler.

hehe, I think you 2 have been arguing for over an hour now 🤷

To answer your question it’s not sinful to be patriotic. I would suggest the OP to move to Italy perhaps? It’s a good thing to see the world and travel when you’re young. But bashing the USA, your home country on an internet forum isn’t really a very constructive thing to do in my opinion.
A-Italy sounds cool, wouldnt want to live there. Deffinetly need to visit the Vatican.
B-Well, thanks for the answer and thought but I knew that! My question was is it sinful to be NOT patriotic. Im not wondering if all of YOU are sinning, Im wondering if I am sinning…

Seriously, I think you’ll find much of the world lives in both spiritual poverty as well as economic.

I also think you’ll find as you travel how really great this nation is. People can have their own opinions, but really, your positions are not really fair or objective.

 Hmm…now look who is bashing? I think it was you who had said that it doesnt matter if a nation is totally perfect…hmmm…

And I dont judge a nation on how many nazis they killed…

Perhaps…my beliefs are fair, but my arguments were not. i recognize that the US did many great things, but, and perhaps this is just personality, I dont feel very patriotic. I just dont.

If you’d study what the nazis did you’d think differently.
They treat Jews kind of like Planned Parenthood treats babies…oh wait, PP is an American thing…

And yes I realize they were bad and needed to be stopped. I just dont think its fair to ignore ALL my complaints about America and then blow off Switzerland for ONE iniquity.

If you’d care to start a thread about Switzerland, feel free.
Now why would I do that? As I said, arguments like this are useless.and I made the mistake already of being anything but solid conservative on this site…not gonna do it again!

If you want to help…do so. It’s more productive than just bashing. Improve your environment.

I applaud your desire to help the church. Let’s call a draw and be friends again. Plus I need to do the dishes.

Ok. Good. And I will humble myself and admit that I was wrong to go bashing. Not the right thing to do…
SO I apologize.😊
And ok, lets draw.

No need to apologize. Plus America is not a place
Without problems. There are spiritual deficiencies here.
It’s good that you want to help solve them.

True. But I always seem to fall into the “elitist” “intellectual” error that Pope Francis warned about closing the Synod. Which is odd because most of the world errors the opposite way, especially most people my age, but I always seem to be a Pharisee.

We’re all that way sometimes.

We should all strive to meet together on our knees.
