Friends,
I would ask for prudence here.

Buffalo, that headline is for personal discernment only. There is no proof that Sr. Lucia’s cell has been sealed. It is said that it has been reported in some Italian newspaper but there is no evidence of the article…
Please be more careful when posting.
I am well aware of the thrust of your argument, and Fr Gruner would be proud of you. Pity he is suspended ‘a divinis’.

True enough. I only posted it for informational purposes.

Tantum ergo:
Mijoy, it is indeed possible for countries to be consecrated, and they have been, over centuries. Consecration is not just for individuals. The Pope indeed consecrated the Third Millennium to our Lady of Fatima, and he consecrated the world’s youth to the Virgin Mary as well. The United States is under the consecration of the Immaculate Conception.
Hmmm, the point of my question keep getting missed, I must not be presenting it well.

I’m aware that a bishop or the Pope CAN consecrate a country. My question is more; what is the value of this consecration if the country is largely not Christian?

I nother words, if there were an appointed Bishop in some make believe country and only a fraction of 1 percent of this country were Christian, would the Bishops consecration of this country have any significance? If the answer is yes, then just what is the value of this consecration?

I’m not asking *who *can consecrate a country, I am asking what are the criteria and value of this consecration? If it is simply a bishop stating the country is consecrated, then why not consecrate everything? There must be some criteria and resulting value.

Thanks,
MiJoy

Could this be taken as a sign that something divine is at work in Russia? Who thought they would see the day.

If only Ireland would follow suit.

Interesting site… could there be two Bishop Hnilica’s

Must be…I read all the info on the Mafia case and no such Bishop was mentioned in any of them. The only places, (and those were few) that I found a reference to the mysterious Hinilca was unity and whacko sights. They can’t seem to make up their mind if he is a Bishop or a Monsignor. Thats pretty strange. They also can’t seem to find him listed as a Bishop…also strange.

My guess, there is a fruitcake running around, but it is not Bishop Hinilca.

Bishop Bishop Pavol Hnilica, SJ, is most definately listed as a Bishop.
