Shocking, but true. This is exactly what partial birth abortion is. You should look it up!
Do you know that even the monster Morgentaler refuses to do partial birth abortions which are completely legal in Canada?Zatzat knows to whom I am referring. His exact words,"I cannot. It’s a baby"How’s that for defining differences of “being”.It’s like some Nazi determining exactly how much Jewish blood one has in one-yes I know Morgentaler is Jewish.Yes I know he is a death campsurvivor.I used the metaphor deliberately, because just like the nun who approved the abortion, the notorious abortionist Morghantaler should know that abortion is state sanctioned murder to rid oneself of an inconvenience.

Degrees of being,of “babyness”,no difference than degrees of “Jewishness”.This is a human rights issue period. We know how history judged Slavers and Nazi’s-Thank God that Nun repented.Abortionists, their supporters and those who were de facto silent will be judged by future generations mecilessly, and I don’t want to think about their final judgement and that Zatzat no matter how often you claim your disbelief will be your destiny and unlike here there will be no debating with God.I do not pretend to judge you but I can judge one’s actions and I urge that you pray SERIOUSLY and ask for a divine spark to be ignited within you.Don’t be mistaken,I don,t hate you,I love you,and I am terrified for you.

Partial birth abortions are rarely ever performed in Canada. You paint a picture as if partial birth abortions are a common occurence. Were you aware that past 20 weeks, elective abortions are unattainable and even for life saving, only a few hospitals in the country provide them.

Were you aware that partial birth abortions cannot be obtained as an elective procedure?

I think I heard that there were something like 2000 or 4000 a year of these in the US, & it’s not that hard to have a doctor say it is medically necessary, depending on the doctor. These families are sometimes facing very difficult circumstances, but this can not be the answer.

So let’s say rare in Canada might be 200 a year… 200 babies pulled by the feet into the birth canal, while the abortionist makes sure he doesn’t fully deliver the child’s head- because that would be awful AND malpractice. Then they shove scissors in the head & evacuate the contents. Would 200 babies suffering this fate be ok, because that’s pretty rare? How about 500, how about 44? It’s all perfectly legal because the baby is still moments from actual birth. You wanted us to name you a case where this happens. How about hundreds of cases? I know it’s horrific, but, nevertheless, perfectly legal…

I had no idea who this was. I just went to the website of one of his clinics. According to him, babies undergoing partial birth abortions are babies, but babies facing medical & suction abortions are apparently not babies. Prayers for him…

Using WHO figures is misleading at the very best. WHO is partners with Marie Stopes International…International Planned Parenthood and UN Population Control UNIPCC ]

Here is an interesting CDC article

cnsnews.com/news/article/55956

The goal of supporting Maternal WHO death numbers is to take away from the number of Aborted deaths… as if justifiable:(
It has had this pointed out to them before
I knew if I asked someone would have the answer… Thanks for providing these shocking statistics!

Partial birth abortions are rarely ever performed in Canada. You paint a picture as if partial birth abortions are a common occurence.
And this paints a picture as if ANY partial birth abortions…is justified 😦

I knew if I asked someone would have the answer… Thanks for providing these shocking statistics!
You are welcome:)

Please note on those CDC statistics…only 36 States were counted for abortion stats. BUT death stats are Nationwide

That is an untruth.I encourage you to read thThe Truth about Partial Birth Abortionis if you have the courage and don’t worry we won’t see you cry:

I think it’s time that Canadians knew about what a gruesome procedure Partial Birth Abortion is. They must also know that it is absolutely legal in Canada. There are no laws against ANY abortion right now. Abortion is legal right up until the time the mother expels a live baby. Before that, anything goes. And anything does. According to medical ethicist Margaret Somerville, there were 243 late-term abortions in 2001, the last year for which we have such statistics. And those only include abortions for which we know the period during which they were committed.

Often, the poor-choice side of the debate accuses the Fetal Rights side of dishonesty. Since they’re the experts at abortion, I am more than willing to entertain the notion that people who commit abortions know more about this than I do. After all, it’s their stock and trade. I would also like to underscore that calling a “Dilation and Extraction” (a “D and E”) a Partial Birth Abortion is no more dishonest than calling rhinoplasty a nose job. I am certain that Partial Birth Abortion does not exist in any medical dictionary, but that doesn’t mean it’s a dishonest phrase. It’s probably more honest than the aseptic-sounding “D and E”.

In 2004, in the US, there were several court challenges launched against laws that banned Partial Birth Abortion, especially the federal law signed by President Bush in November 2003. A number of providers who do these partial birth abortions testified about the procedure.

For pro-lifers, all abortions are gruesome, but some are more barbaric than others. The heinousness of partial birth abortion derives from the fact that a second- or third- trimester baby-- often viable-- is partially delivered so that the head remains in the womb, but the rest of the body is exposed. The abortionist then takes a sharp instrument, such as scissors, and uses it to puncture the baby’s skull to collapse it, suck out the brain, killing the baby and facilitating delivery. This is corroborated by abortionist Carolyn Westhoff’s testimony in New York District Court Case to overturn that law.

lifesite.net/ldn/2004/apr/04040503.html

Quote:
“After Westhoff said that some women like to hold the dead baby to facilitate grieving, Judge Casey asked “Did you tell them you were sucking the brains out of the same baby they desired to hold?” “They know the head’s empty,” Westhoff replied. “I don’t tell them I’m sucking the brain out.””

Abortionist Timothy Johnson corroborated this testimony:

[Judge] Casey also wanted to know if women were informed that the abortion involved “sucking the brain out of the skull.” “I don’t think we would use those terms,” Johnson replied. “I think we would probably use a term like decompression of the skull or reducing the contents of the skull.”

The fetus can also dismembered as well in order to facilitate deliver. Abortionist Timothy Johnson testified:

Quote:

[Judge] Casey also wanted to know if women were informed that their child would be dismembered before dying. “So you tell her the arms and legs are pulled off?” he asked. “I mean, that’s what I want to know. Do you tell her?” “We tell her the baby, the fetus, is dismembered as part of the procedure, yes,” Johnson replied.

Let’ s see you bloodlessly and dispassionately explain THAT away. The ARROGANCE of the born never ceases to amaze me.Yeah I know Foetuses are “different”,so are Jews, and Black People but what we did to those latter twogroups are crimes that scream out to heaven. So is this one.

You make statements as if they are fact without a whit of evidence to support your personal prejudices.

Sister Margaret McBride, RSM, of the Catholic Sisters of Mercy, along with the rest of the “ethics committee”, committed a grave error in judgment by facilitating a direct abortion. That is a fact.

What’s very troubling is the fact that not one of these people in such an area of awesome responsibility knew what the right thing to do was. They even protested after the fact saying they were correct to approve the abortion, when the bishop in communion with the Pope told them point blank they were wrong. These people need some major remedial catechesis.
I don’t think that they need a renewal in religious education. I believe that they have their position that they wish to defend and there is no one more deaf than he who does not want to hear or more blind than he who does not want to see.

Evangelium Vitae is very clear on this question. There is not reason for any Catholic to say that they do not understand what God wants or that God wants this instead of that. The Church has already, infallibly explained what God wants. The rest are people’s opinions.

In the end, our opinions are not going to change God’s mind on this issue. We need to accept this. I believe that as long as we believe that we can correct God’s thinking or that we can tell the hierarchy that they have misunderstood God’s message, then we don’t belong inside of the Catholic Church or any organized religion.

I was born Jewish. Jews have many disagreements on many issues. But I never saw the level of disrespect and dismissiveness toward any Rabbi, that I see toward bishops and the pope among Catholics. I have never seen it among Muslims either. They debate and argue with each other. But they have the highest respect for their hierarchy. Protestants do the same. When they don’t like what the pastor has to say, they leave and form their own Church up the street. No on puts up with the dissent and disagreement that we Catholics believe is our right, which of course it is not. As I have posted many times and no one has addressed it, Paul argued that the laity and the faithful have no right when it comes to revealed truth. What has been handed down by the Apostles must be accepted without argument and question. This is Paul’s position.

When did Catholics get the idea that they could rewrite the rules of the game? No one else seems to share this idea in any other faith.

Are you aware they are legal? Accordingly to 'Ceasar".
Ceasar’s a heck of a guy isn’t he?.Wonder where he’s spending eternity?.All these modern day Ceasars should be shaking in their boots but I’m afraid their fate may be very similar to the chap who ask.ed that his brother be al;lowed to dampen his burning lips wth water and to warn him of his potential fate-but the answer was no

.But why should atheists and pro-abortionists fear the life after death after all,the Bible,Christ and the Sermon on the Mount are all fairy tales, right;made to measure to frighten children into being good and keeping society in line, correc?

.Nothing about the burning love of Christ that we feel if we are exremely fortunate.Poor Blessed Mother Theresa did not even have that solace but she loved Christ all the more.Thank God that nun repented and has been embraced by the Church,Christ’s Body on earth.

Agree totally, Brother.
I believe it is the result of the undercurrent of today’s secular culture;
**
RELATIVISM: I want what I want … and will re-write the Law for myself.**

Many" Catholics"on this board should take heed of catharina’s and the Brother’s words. To ignore them is to imperil one’s soul

.I cannot believe the statements that I hear that come out of putative Catholics mouths asi f Catholicism is a club with flexible and changeable rules and morality.Ceasar couldn’t stamp out the Church and pipsqueek Catholics who rail about abortion, the ordination of Women and "getting with"the culture are going to do nothing more than make the present Church stronger and the Remnant of faithful and obedient Catholics ever more vigilant against the 5th columnist Catholics, who plump for abortion, female ordination who wish to change the Church so it resembles the sad visage that stares back at them in the mirror

.I would DIE to defend my faith as many good decent Catholics on this board would do.There are Catholics who try to divide us by referring to people like me,catharina,Edwest and a plethora of others as conservatives,or reactionary and think of themselves as modern and progressive as if there were two Churches or two wings of the Church when in fact there are only obedient and disobedient Catholics

.I am sick of arguing with Catholics to BE Catholic. We need a MUCH smaller Church.A Billion and a half Catholics-Ha!About 20% attend mass and believe in the Real Presence. If you think this Pope is conservative just wait for the next one-the Holy Spirit will insure we get the Pope we need and I pray that this brave Holy Father remains God’s Fisherman for a long time, but I pray that the next one is someone like Cardinal Arinze who will discipline the Church and its more disobedient followers with a mighty hand.

Awesome post Gordon…👍 👍 👍 It is amazing how many people don’t follow the CCC, or don’t even know what it is or what an Encyclical is. There I sit waiting to partake of the Eucharist until I get confimed and MOST of the women in the pews are contracepting…

Cathrina…
Not exactly right…:o

catholic.com/library/Just_War_Doctrine_1.asp

However I agree with your position on abortion…NO JUSTIFICATION…👍
The previous poster said (in regard to abortion):
*My question is do you kill one or two humans if that is the only option? *

My answer to that question, quite correct, was that
in this situation ‘as Catholics, we are allowed to kill no one.’
The simple truth.

Perhaps you missed the question???

Apologies…I did not catch that nuance…only the “We are allowed to kill no one”. 😊

I do not know WHICH women are contracepting, but Statistically speaking the family sizes for the Parish should be different then the 2-3 Children per couple we have. I have a VERY liberal Priest, and I have NEVER heard any condemnation from the pulpit on this topic.

Now maybe the men are using too, but since men would rather females use the pill instead of them use the Condoms, although I could be mistaken (But I doubt it), I again make a life view comment that most of the women are on the pill.

The younger Catholics I know use the pill or get fixed…I talked to a young man today who says he is Catholic… His wife is having a C section on the 23rd and will have her tubes tied. I will continue to talk to him about it, but we are not a Parish of the Duggers…and NFP is not a topic of discussion… simple observation Cathrina…

Unfortunately our Pews are not FULL…
