O Mary, Mother of God, who amid the tribulations of the world, dost watch over us and over the Church of thy Son, be to us and to the Church, truly Our Lady of Prompt Succor. Make haste to help us in all our necessities, that in this fleeting life thou mayest be our succor, and obtain for us the complete healing of Jim from all cancer and disease. Help us to gain life everlasting through the merits of Jesus, Thy Son, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to our help.
Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to our help.
Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to our help.

Let us pray… O Almighty and Eternal God who dost see us surrounded by so many dangers and miseries, grant in Thy infinite goodness, that the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Thy Divine Son, may defend us from the evil spirit, and protect us against all adversities; that she may obtain for us the complete healing of Jim from all cancer and disease and safely guide us to the kingdom of heaven; through the merits of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Jim you remain in my thoughts and prayers!

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

We turn to you for protection, holy Mother of God.
Listen to our prayers and help us in our needs.
Save us from every danger, glorious and blessed Virgin.
Amen!

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Loving God,

We lift our continuing prayers and intentions for the healing and welfare of your son Jim. Please help Jim with this recent concern about a relapse and his vein issues. Lord, we ask for Your blessings and healing to be with Jim in the face of this recent health challenge, and we hope and pray that the last round of treatment has been successful and that he is in a better place from a health standpoint, in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Thank you also for the good works Jim does with others facing the huge trial and challenge of cancer in their lives. Lord, we especially appreciate the prayerful example that Jim sets for us.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Amen.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus,

Whatever may befall us Lord,
though dark the hour may be.
In all our woes, in all our joys,
though nought but grief we see.

Prayer for the Sick
Dear Jesus,
Divine Physician and Healer of the sick,
we turn to you in this time of illness.
O dearest comforter of the troubled,
alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love,
and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.
Dear God, we place our worries in your hands.
We place our sick under your care
and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again.
Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your Will
and know that whatever You do,
You do for the love of us.
Amen!
