Continued Prayer for you, dear Jim…
Loving God, the source of all healing, thank you for Jim. Thank you for his life and his ministry in prayer to so many hurting people. I pray you will bless him and heal him. Help him as he continues to endure and trust in You, our Everlasting Lord and Savior.

Blessed Mother, Our Mother, I ask that you please pray for and lift up Jim to the Lord Our God…

We lift our prayers and intentions for our friend Jim and his family at this time of great concern about his health and new challenges. Please grant Jim healing and excellent medical advice in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Please help Jim and his family to experience your loving compassion, grant them continued strong faith, and trust in your divine providence. Lord, we know everything we have comes from you, and that all things are possible with you at our side. Please be with Jim and his family now in this time of concern about his health situation.

The sheer amount of prayer in this thread is amazing, and humbling. I have been doing well, and have had zero problem maintaining my weight since treatment stopped. Actually, I have the opposite problem now, so a return to the fasting of yesteryear may be in order.

Just a bit of a recap (my apologies if I am repeating myself). In July 2013, I suddenly developed several odd symptoms which seemed to be an auto-immune disorder. Shortness of breath, anemia, joint pain, mild fevers, a rash over about 2/3 of my body. This was also consistent with a relapse of the lymphoma. Treatment was increased, then stopped when no response was seen. This is not normally a good sign.

Since last July, I have consulted with my primary physician several times, an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, a dermatologist, cardiologist, hematologist and rheumatologist. I have had chest x-rays, blood work, at least four complete series of head-to-pelvis CT scans, two biopsies and three pathologist’s reports. The bottom line is that all are stumped. One of the premier cancer research agencies in the world cannot say what is, or was, wrong with me. The good news is that my last scans showed that all of the lymph nodes and my spleen had reduced in size 60%, apparently on their own.

There is no medical reason for this, but a very spiritual one: your prayers. And, all I can offer in return is prayers on behalf of all who pray for me. May Christ’s peace be with each one of you. Amen!
