Dear Saint Rita,
model Wife and Widow.
You suffered in a long illness,
showing patience out of love for God.
Teach us to pray as you did.
Many invoke you for help,
full of confidence in your intercession.
Deign to come now to our aid
for the relief and cure of po18guy
To God all things are possible.
May this healing give glory to the Lord.

The Lord bless each of you, whose prayers have sustained me these past four years. My eyes are getting misty! All I can do is offer my thanks and weak prayers for you in return. My last scans revealed no evidence of disease, and the frequency of the scans is dropping from every other month to once every four months. This is good, since I have absorbed over 300 years of background radiation from all of the scans. Still, I have received the all-clear for almost three years now. Treatment is continuing, since it is believed that the drug that I receive (now approved in the US!) is the only thing suppressing the cancer. I find it amazing that I am on a maintenance drug to suppress a cancer for which there still is no standard treatment. God’s hand has been on this from day one, thanks to your prayers!

Please bless him and his family as they continue their journey of faith and serve you, O Lord. Thank you also for the good works Jim does with others facing the huge trial and challenge of cancer in their lives. Lord, we especially appreciate the prayerful example that Jim sets for us, and for his outreach to others who are suffering.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.
