Loving God,

We lift our continuing prayers and intentions for the healing and welfare of your son Jim. Please help Jim with this recent concern about a relapse and his vein issues. Lord, we ask for blessings and healing to be with Jim in the face of this recent health challenge, in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Please bless him and his family as they continue their journey of faith and serve you, O Lord. Thank you also for the good works Jim does with others facing the huge trial and challenge of cancer in their lives. Lord, we especially appreciate the prayerful example that Jim sets for us.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

O Mary, Mother of God, who amid the tribulations of the world, dost watch over us and over the Church of thy Son, be to us and to the Church, truly Our Lady of Prompt Succor. Make haste to help us in all our necessities, that in this fleeting life thou mayest be our succor, and obtain for us the complete healing of Jim from all cancer and disease. Help us to gain life everlasting through the merits of Jesus, Thy Son, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Let us pray… O Almighty and Eternal God who dost see us surrounded by so many dangers and miseries, grant in Thy infinite goodness, that the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Thy Divine Son, may defend us from the evil spirit, and protect us against all adversities; that she may obtain for us the complete healing of Jim from all cancer and disease and safely guide us to the kingdom of heaven; through the merits of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

UPDATE:

I can’t thank all of you enough! I have now finished two rounds of “induction therapy” - which is simply full dosing of the drug that I have received for 4 1/2 years. Since my symptoms of relapse have all either disappeared or greatly lessened, it appears that the rare lymphoma (AngioImmunoblastic T-Cell non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma) is responding yet again to treatment - brought about through your faithful prayers. Next Friday, I will have a series of CT scans to determine if the various nodes in my lymphatic system have reacted to the treatment or not. May the Lord richly bless each one of you. Amen!

Here is a link to a brief article which describes the cancer. There is no prognosis given, as it is uniformly listed as “poor”, unless massive prayers are involved!
