We turn to you for protection, holy Mother of God.
Listen to our prayers and help us in our needs.
Save us from every danger, glorious and blessed Virgin.
Amen!
 
Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

UPDATE:

I was advised today that, despite the increased treatment, the cancer seems to be progressing and now appears to involve my spleen. Therefore, I must now consider another clinical trial of an experimental drug (30% chance of response), a single-agent chemotherapy drug (30% chance of response), or a massive chemotherapy infusion in hospital that will destroy my immune system, followed by a stem cell transplant to restore my immune system. Even then, it is not considered a cure. My cells are in storage and we need to take action before the spleen involvement causes further anemia - which would stop all treatment until it could be controlled. So, DW and I have some talking and some praying to do. As always, I most sincerely appreciate each and every prayer.

Loving God,

We lift our prayers and intentions for our friend Jim and his family at this time of great concern about his health and new challenges. Please grant Jim healing and excellent medical advice in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Please help Jim and his family to experience your loving compassion, grant them continued strong faith, and trust in your divine providence. Lord, we know everything we have comes from you, and that all things are possible with you at our side. Please be with Jim and his family now in this time of concern about his health situation.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

May Our Lord grant you healing and guide your doctors involved in your treatment to give you the best treatment possible and to have the knowledge they need to bring you stable health.

O Mary, Mother of God, who amid the tribulations of the world, dost watch over us and over the Church of thy Son, be to us and to the Church, truly Our Lady of Prompt Succor. Make haste to help us in all our necessities, that in this fleeting life thou mayest be our succor, and obtain for us the complete healing of Jim from all cancer and disease. Help us to gain life everlasting through the merits of Jesus, Thy Son, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Let us pray… O Almighty and Eternal God who dost see us surrounded by so many dangers and miseries, grant in Thy infinite goodness, that the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Thy Divine Son, may defend us from the evil spirit, and protect us against all adversities; that she may obtain for us the complete healing of Jim from all cancer and disease and safely guide us to the kingdom of heaven; through the merits of our Lord Jesus Christ. Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus. Amen.
