When you go to confession immediately before mass, and the only thing you do between confession and the start of mass is praying (including your penance) then it’s likely that when the mass starts, you won’t have any sins on your soul by the penitential rite at the start of mass.
It seems to me that praying the penitential rite when you have no sins to ask forgiveness for is insincere and disrespectful to the sacrament of confession.
So, do you skip the penitential rite after confession?
